THE FUNDING PROCESS
Funding arrangements can vary, but there are three key areas employers should understand when planning an apprenticeship.
Eligibility must be checked against the funding rules that apply when the apprenticeship starts, taking into account factors such as employment, location and previous learning.
Government funding may cover some or all of the eligible training and assessment costs, depending on the apprentice and the employer’s circumstances.
Employers that pay the Apprenticeship Levy can use funds available through their apprenticeship service account towards eligible apprenticeship training and assessment.
LEVY & NON-LEVY EMPLOYERS
You do not need to be a large organisation or an Apprenticeship Levy payer to benefit from apprenticeship funding.
Employers that do not pay the Levy can access government support towards eligible apprenticeship training and assessment, while Levy-paying employers can use funds held within their apprenticeship service account.
